Still committed.
Still building what's next.

I’m seeking re-election to continue supporting the people, businesses, and partnerships that make Southwest Florida’s marine industry thrive. There’s more work to do, more opportunities ahead, and I’m committed to helping move MIACC forward.

Why I'm running for re-election

More than ever.
Our members need value.

I’m running for another term on the Marine Industries Association of Collier County Board of Directors because I believe I can make a difference.

Throughout my career, I’ve built businesses, led organizations, solved problems, and turned ideas into measurable results. I’ve never believed that maintaining the status quo is enough.

And right now, I believe our industry needs that kind of thinking more than ever.

The extraordinary conditions of the COVID-era boating boom are behind us. Many marine businesses are navigating a more challenging environment. Costs are rising, customers are more selective, and every dollar matters.

Every dollar our members invest in MIACC needs to deliver value.

I believe our association has an important role to play, not just in advocating for our industry, but in helping our members succeed. That means listening, understanding the challenges businesses face, building stronger partnerships, creating opportunities, and ensuring membership delivers benefits that matter.

I’ve spent my career asking two questions: What can we do better, and how do we make it happen? I believe there is more work to be done at MIACC, and I want to be part of doing it.

I also believe that the strength of an association comes from the involvement of its members. We need to create more opportunities for businesses of every size to have a voice, share ideas, build relationships, and benefit from being part of MIACC. Whether it’s helping members connect with new customers, addressing common challenges, or finding ways to work together, I want us to focus on practical initiatives that make membership more valuable and give businesses a reason to stay engaged.

I’d appreciate your support and the opportunity to continue serving.

My priorities for another term

What should your MIACC
membership do for you?

I believe membership should be more than a name in a directory or an invitation to an event.
It should help your business, strengthen your relationships, and give you a voice in the decisions affecting our industry.

mc priority icon 1

01 / Member Value

Make membership worth more.

Continue evaluating the benefits we provide and how effectively members can use them. From marketing exposure and professional resources to industry information and networking, I want us to focus on benefits that make a practical difference to businesses of every size.

mc priority icon 2

02 / Business Opportunities

Help members do business.

Our association connects boat dealers, marinas, manufacturers, contractors, service providers, and professionals throughout the marine industry. I want to explore better ways to turn those connections into referrals, partnerships, customer relationships, and opportunities for members to support one another.

mc priority icon 3

03 / Industry Representation

Protect our industry's interests.

Access to our waterways, regulatory decisions, infrastructure, workforce challenges, and the cost of doing business affect our members every day. I want MIACC to remain engaged, informed, and effective in representing marine businesses while building productive relationships with community leaders and decision-makers.

04 / Member Engagement

Listen. Adapt. Deliver.

The challenges facing a small service company are not always the same as those facing a major dealership or marina. Every member deserves to be heard. I want us to seek feedback, encourage participation, communicate progress, and remain willing to adjust our approach when something can be done better.

I’m not suggesting that one board member can accomplish all of this alone. But I do believe one board member can ask the right questions, bring forward ideas, challenge assumptions, and help turn good intentions into meaningful results. That’s the approach I intend to bring to another term.

Experience that makes a difference

Experience. Commitment.
Real-world results.

I believe effective leadership comes from experience, a willingness to listen, and the ability to turn ideas into action.

My perspective comes from decades of organizational leadership, building my own businesses, working on the water, teaching others, and serving our marine industry.

01

Entrepreneurship

Building Sunshine Solutions.

I founded Sunshine Solutions in 2010 and have grown it from a charter business into a collection of services supporting boat owners, waterfront property owners, and private clients. We’ve expanded through complementary businesses, strategic partnerships, and a focus on trust, service, and long-term relationships. I understand firsthand what it takes to build a business, find customers, manage expenses, develop new revenue opportunities, and adapt when market conditions change.

02

On-the-Water Experience

A captain's perspective.

As a USCG-licensed Master Captain, boating isn’t simply an industry I’m involved in. It’s part of my everyday professional life. From vessel operations and owner services to chartering, marina relationships, and maintenance oversight, I work directly with many of the issues facing our marine businesses and their customers. That practical experience helps me bring a working professional’s perspective to the MIACC Board.

03

Education & Safety

Preparing the next generation of boaters.

Through Sunshine Academy of Boating, I provide both hands-on, on-the-water instruction and classroom-based education. My focus is helping boaters develop the knowledge, practical skills, and confidence to operate safely and responsibly. Education is important to the future of our industry. Better-informed boaters make better decisions, enjoy more positive experiences, and become stronger long-term participants in our boating community.

04

Growth & Leadership

Turning opportunities into results.

Growing Sunshine has required me to continually evaluate what customers need, identify opportunities, build new service offerings, and create relationships with other businesses. Before Sunshine, I spent years leading complex operations and managing teams, budgets, and organizational change. I bring that same combination of strategic thinking and hands-on execution to my work with MIACC.

MIACC Service & Leadership

Committed to MIACC since 2021.

Since joining MIACC in 2021 and becoming a Board Director in 2022, I’ve made a commitment to participating, contributing ideas, and helping strengthen the association. My involvement has included leadership and participation at MIACC conferences, working alongside fellow industry professionals, and serving a one-year term as Treasurer. These experiences have given me a deeper appreciation for both the opportunities available to our association and the responsibility we have to our members.

There's more to my story.

My career has taken me from building individual businesses and programs to leading large, complex organizations. Through every chapter, my approach has remained the same: listen, identify opportunities, build strong teams, and deliver results. If you’d like to learn more about my background, accomplishments, and leadership philosophy, I invite you to explore my personal page.

A personal request

Your voice.
Your association.

I believe the best ideas don’t always come from the boardroom. They come from the people running businesses, serving customers, solving problems, and finding ways to make things work every day.

That’s why I want to hear from you. What’s working? What’s not? What could MIACC do that would make a real difference to your business?

I won’t pretend to have every answer. But I will listen, ask questions, bring ideas forward, and work with fellow board members to turn those conversations into meaningful action.

I'd appreciate your vote.

I’m asking for your support and the opportunity to continue serving on the MIACC Board of Directors. I believe we have more to accomplish together, and I’m ready to keep doing the work.
